As 2012 draws to a close we take time to look back on the year that was! Some of us will be pleased with the outcome and yet many of us will be questioning why we were not able to live up to our own expectations! For many of us this year has come and gone without much time to reflect on our goals and objectives, we're busy living our lives. Perhaps it's the demands on your time to play taxi to your children, the extra work you bring home to keep up with your employer demands or maybe taking time to enjoy the significant other in your life! There is very little time for you to work on you! As simple as this sounds, it's very important! To be the best you can be, the best dad, to give 110% at work and to be the best friend to your spouse you need to ensure your head is in the game!
Take it from someone who knows best! I personally have found this year has come to end without the satisfaction of meeting my own expectations! Sure I'm a good dad, I couldn't ask for a more supportive and loving spouse, and I'm focused and committed to my clients; however I feel like I could have done it all better!
Looking ahead to 2013 stirs emotions of anxiety that I could be facing the same results at the end of next year, but this year will be different! I've learned that I am the change! By following 1 simple guideline you too can experience complete satisfaction. Here is my new rule:
- Live each day without regret!
- Don't just tell your family you love them, Show it, everyday!
- Have conviction - Say what you mean, own what you do!
- Don't procrastinate - Do it today, tomorrow may never come!
- Be organized - time is a precious commodity, use it wisely!
- Laugh at yourself - if you can do that, it won't matter what others think!
these 5 simple steps will ensure you live life each day without any regrets, and will be happy with the results long before this time next year!
Success and happiness is my wish for in the coming year!
Merry Christmas!
